cron "Schedule Task" is a operating system component (time-based job scheduler) that provides the ability to schedule the launch of programs or scripts to run periodically at certain times or dates.

Adding crontab (schedule task) in Linux in plesk 17

Step: 1
1. For schedule a task login to your Plesk control panel, and click on the "Websites & Domains" tab.
2. Just click on that "Scheduled Tasks" icon.



Step: 2

1. Click on "Add task" to add a new task.

Step: 3



1. Enable the "Active" checkbox.
2. Enable the checkbox "Run a command".
3. Give the command syntax that you want to execute.
4. Select the particular time from the dropbox that you want to execute the particular command.

To set the cronstyle in a crontab from plesk panel:
Step1:

1.
 For schedule a task login to your Plesk control panel, and click on the "Websites & Domains" tab.
2. Click on "Shedule task".

 Click on "Add task" button.



Step2:

1. Choose the cronstyle from the run dropbox. 
2. Use the UNIX crontab format "minute hour day-of-month month day-of-week". For example "* * * * *" the command will run in every one minute interval. Plesk will use the default system time zone to run the task. 
3. Click on OK.


Deleting crontab (schedule task) in Linux in plesk 17

Step: 1


1. To delete the sheduling click on the task.
2. 
Click on the Remove button as shown in the figure.

Step: 2
1. Check the confirm removal and click Yes, to remove the schedule task permanently.
